Mother's Day - one day early

No.1 daughter (PhotoJENic) has invited me up to her place in London tomorrow for Mother's Day. So I brought Mother's Day forward one day for my mum. One of my mum's favourite sweets is coconut ice. I tried to buy some for her in Fortnum and Masons a while back but the mountain of coconut ice on display had been there for some time and had stuck solid. The assistant could only prize off two measly pieces for which she did not charge me.

So I thought, to make amends, I would make my mum some coconut ice. Never made it before - very easy! Took it over to her today and she was thrilled. She is under STRICT instructions NOT to eat it all in one go!

Off to Columbia Street Market and Brick Lane tomorrow. Looking forward to lots of blipping opportunities.
