The Peninsular
Today we went to the Peninsular Hotel in Kowloon. Richards parents are here for the weekend on their way to France so it seemed like a good opportunity to go. The Peninsular is a lovely old colonial hotel and is perfect for afternoon tea. We were serenaded by a string quartet, had copious amounts of tea and coffee and all the cakes and sandwiches we could eat - it was delightful and something a bit different! They did a gluten free option for me and Jack too, so we were happy!
On the way back about to board the ferry, Charlie managed to get his foot stuck under the gang plank (where it connects to land) which was moving with the water - and got it squashed a bit, consequently he screamed all the way home and now his little foot is black and blue!!! I am hoping that after a good icing and some elevation that it will feel better tomorrow. Not quite the end we were expecting....
