Clubbies - surf life saving competition

There was a surf life saving competition on at East End beach in New Plymouth today. This double wave ski race between the blokes from East End Surf Life Saving Club and the ladies from Fitzroy Surf Life Saving Club resulted in a both teams failing to complete the course due to the 2.5m swell. Saying that, Fitzroy SLSC fielded the stronger team with the ladies at least getting out to the back markers through the worst of the breakers before their forced retirement.
