Sunday Evening in Venice

Our last day in Venice and we decided to get ourselves a 12 hour ticket for the waterbus and go travelling. Curiosity took us to the islands including the cemetery island, where among the many thousands is buried Igor Stravinsky. We finished up miles away at the Lido which we just had to see as very good friends of ours will be holidaying there in a couple of weeks time.

This photo was shot from the Lido waterbus terminus while we waited for our ride. It is on full telephoto and looking back to the city. Thr tower to the right is the Camponile in St. Mark's Square with the Doge's Palace immediately to its right.

That's it then. We are out of here at 6am Monday morning and back in our own bed by nightfall, all going well. Back to commenting as soon as possible.
