A Bay

Celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary, Mrs PS organised a weekend away. The motther-in-law was flown in to look after the kids, and were were off! The plan was to go tramping, but an atrocious weather forecast put us off, fortunately ...

... because, we were able to get a last minute booking (the place is booked until August) at an authentic Kiwi bach on Banks Peninsula. Authentic means very rustic; things like ... not a plate or glass in the place matches, and the sofas (and generally the beds) are well beyond the end of their life. But on the flip side you get an iconic location, a fire on the beach, no cell phone access, no TV, and pure bliss ...

I think we just found one of the best places in the world, no, don't ask where it is ;-)
