As predicated the weather closed in and the rain came down.

Fortunately we were tucked up, with no kids, in our iconic kiwi bach. So given this perilous weather situation we did what many self respecting people would do. We read in bed, we had cups of tea in bed, we had brunch in bed; finally braving the elements at around 11.30!

Feeling somewhat guilty we then jumped on our bikes (in the rain) and did a 2 hour ride around several bays. Simply amazing, but maybe unusually, instead of the gorgeous views I give you a burned log. It has spawned a new life ... It really appealed to me.

Then back to the back and out in the kayak; I went in search of mussels and paua. A great paddle (in the rain) but it was a little rough around the rocks for hunting and gathering, back to the back for dinner and wine ... ;-)
