Spa-Francorchamps is LOUD!!!

Today we were very privileged, we had received 4 tickets for the Renault World Series on the circuit of Spa-Francorchamps. - courtesy of our neighbours. So a huge thank you to Steven, Johnnie, Ann and Nik! We had a most fantastic day. Even getting out of the car after an 1,5 hrs of driving and hearing those racing car engines roar was amazing.

This was a day not just full of watching cars racing, but there was plenty of off-track entertainment in the village and it was amazing to watch mechanics prepare the race cars in the garage or try and repair damage suffered in training sessions.

It also gave me high speed practice with the camera, which I had never done before (more of a portrait kind of photographer). Good fun though, finding out all the possibilities of your camera. It was hard to pick out just one to blip... I uploaded some more on Flickr. Here you'll see the cars, etc. But I just like this image of the girls standing on top of the paddock on top of the finish line, fingers in ears to protect their hearing. Shortly afterwards we found some more professional looking hearing protection...
