Gary's 37th

Happy Birthday Gary! Today he celebrates his 37th birthday. Since today is eventful as far as a full calendar....we will celebrate with a party on Friday! I did manage a run to the store to get stuff for pulled pork and broccoli slaw, and the cheesecake supplies and started up the crockpot.

Then I headed back to the school at 10:30 and I picked Loren up for an eye appointment. He got his eyes checked in preparation for getting contact lenses. His coach for soccer suggested he get them. There was a slight negative change in his vision today, but we were surprised that the eye doctor set him up with trial contacts today already. They had his prescription sample in stock luckily. We ended up having to come back for his contact lense lesson after picking up Liam and Landon from minimum day at school and after dropping off Grandma for her hair appointment.

Once we got back to the eye doctor, they said their rules to him. He must insert and remove the contacts 3 times before they would release them to him! It was a very frustrating 1 1/2 hours for him! I actually ended up having to leave him there while I went and picked up my grandma from her hair appointment and then I returned to see how he was doing. After that 1 1/2 hrs. he had removed/inserted them 3 times. He was SO ready for that visit to be over! CONGRATS LOREN, ON THE CONTACT LENSES....NOW YOU'RE ALL READY FOR SOCCER!!!! BRACES FOR LIAM TOMORROW...IT SURE IS A WEEK FOR MILESTONES!

Liam's game was tonight. Unfortunately it was a loss against Western LL A's. They put Liam in as catcher, so this is my blip photo.
