Little and Large
Easy to spot the large one, but there is a little one in there too.
Yet another bank holiday and yet another day of blue skies. If only the wind would drop for a bit it would feel as well as look like summer. Still, mustn't grumble. Unless your name's Euan that is.
Dragged the lad out for another hike today, along with his mum this time, and it took him a good mile and a half before his pre-teenage grumpiness lifted and he began to enjoy the walk. Not sure we convinced him that with all the 'wildlife' around about - sheep, lambs, cows, calves, geese, ducks, swans and the odd buzzard - it made it just like a visit to the zoo. I told him about the bald eagle that had gone missing from a nearby falconry centre and that it might've made it down to this area to look for some food and that seemed to pique his interest. Then he found a big stick to play with and all was right with the world once more.
The stop off at a newly opened tearoom after the walk probably cancelled out all the good we'd done on the walk but it was a grand day out in the sunshine all the same.
