Bushwhacking
At Lyngen peninsula especially at the west side of the mountains the bushes really eat you up when starting from the bottom. Today also the snow was completely wet making the skintrack opening even more hard and difficult.
After 600 vertical metres more up we had a break and dug a hole to check the snow quality and decided to call it a day. No business to go to some couloirs today and one sluff avalanche with a quite big cracking line we saw made the decision easy. Too bad the weather forecast is not giving hope of radical change for the next days..
