One A Day 2011

Move over Hamilton

A great day. Today was all about celebrating Sus turning 30.

It began at the indoor go karting track in town. 12 teams of 4 drivers. One Le Mans style 80 minute non stop race. One 30 second lap track with bridge, hairpin and pit stop and a variety of race tactics.

Susannah took no prisoners. In the last 10 minutes of the race she clocked 4 fastest laps in a row. 32.17, 31.91, 31.77, 31.66. Bam! You should her in a real car. Terrifying.

Next we went for coffee in Penarth. A slightly more sedate experience as we sat outside in the ever-so-chilly air and regained our composure whilst the waiter got our order wrong.

Home was the next destination for drinks, dips, garlic bread and chilli.

The evening entertainment was 2 hours in a private karaoke booth in a bar in town. Pure enjoyment. At 10pm people were sat down tapping a tambourine lightly to Brown Eyed Girl. By midnight, everyone was stood on the seats throwing their heads round and screaming their lungs out to Bohemian Rhapsody. Classic.

The night finished with Sus drunk and emotional declaring her love for everyone, me wearing pink bunny ears and everyone enjoying a late drunken feast around the kitchen table with much of the conversation based around coleslaw.

A great day and a great way to finish month 4 of my 365 project. One third there....
