Lycra vs Baggies

As you can see in this photo there is one cool rider (bagggies) and one that is not. Can you imagine, being in the best mtb terrain in the country, amongst some of the best riders, and to be associated to some road loving, lycra clad, wanna-be mountain bike rider. No? Well, you're not alone ;-)

More seriously, Kiwidino and I flew to Rotorua this morning, up at 5am for a 7am flight, unpacked, had to get some quick bike repairs, and then headed off into the forest.

A quick uphill to warm up, and down G-Rock, then down to the carpark to meet our coach for the afternoon, Brad. All up, and bl**dy fantastic afternoon. Brad focussed on our key (biking) problems and set us up to really advance. Absolutely superb. Cornering, the "question mark" and dropping small jumps to help even out the ride. Brilliant.

We started at just after 11, finished around 4.30, absolutely buggered as you can imagine, but just ecstatic. Quickly trip to the supermarket and beer, then back to the hotel, basically to collapse.
