Lo! High Watermark
A stranger's succour
Her birthday gift and two hours
calling for Digby
Up, and to Radnor Gardens on the banks of the Thames once again with Boo.
And once again, Boo met Digby and a frantic two hours was spent chasing tails, balls, ducks, drakes, children, paper, each other and their own shadows.
Mad dogs, a Welshman and a Czech lady, out in the noonday sun.
An Americano and a cappuccino.
And one chocolate cookie.
A single solitary candle solemnly set atop.
To celebrate Iveta's birthday, twice the candle was lit and twice the wind swiftly usurped the birthday girl's prerogative, snuffing its feeble, sun-eclipsed flame before she could.
One hopes she made a wish nevertheless.
