Accessory to murder

I have to plead guilty to being an accessory to this foul murder.....If I hadn't planted my new border today, I wouldn't have attracted in this small bee (I think it is a bee....) and the spider would not have found an easy meal. Sorry bee.

I was trying to take a picture of a hoverfly on the newly planted lavender when the spider struck. He's now consuming the prey on the shady side of the flower.

I enjoyed digging and planting this morning - another lovely sunny day and not as windy as it had been earlier in the week.

Son number two delivered to physics revision session. Hopefully son number one will have handed in his essay and will be able to sleep....
