Speckled Wood (3)
Same butterfly species - different angle (last week and earlier). This speckled wood sat quite still for me despite the gusts of wind.
It was a great lunchtime for insects - the umbellifers in the lanes were alive with all kinds of things. Had to go back to Chinery to identify a click beetle and look through pictures on the internet to identify red tipped flower beetles. Managed to catch a stationary orange-tip butterfly but the wind was too strong to get a decent picture - shame as it looked lovely on the bluebells.
Quick dash to vote when I got home and then off to a Governor briefing. Can it really be Friday again tomorrow?
