Lilac

The 'year in my garden' continues and today I had a choice of using this very pretty lilac or the absolute disaster I awoke to this morning.

Ok, disaster is a bit strong but I forgot to bring in my courgettes and pumpkins and it was a cold night. I came outside to find them all floppy and dead. That means the ones at the allotment will be too. I always get carried away with the good weather and plant things out too early.

It was a bit of a blow, especially as I have no more pumpkin seeds.

But I did pick up the compost and trowel and sow round two of courgettes and a few other things besides so let's hope it's just a small setback.
