Happy birthday to me!

Had a great 33rd birthday despite spending most of it on the M6!

We stopped off in Manchester. I'm not normally a shop-type person but the Trafford centre is amazing. Also.... I'm not all shoppy-gay, but I'm camping out for the summer because selfridges is the best place ever! Byres road forgotten about, next move Manchester!

Then we went for our first trip to canal street. What a frickin dump! We expected sophisticated al-fresco European bistro style on-street dining... But no. Maybe canal street is one to try for a boozy weekend rather than a quiet tuesday evening!

Walked along to china town and had Chinese buffet instead. The restaurant was dingy, shabby, and run-down but the food wasn't bad at all.

Then back into the car for the M6 and the other half of the journey home! At the next pee-break, mathew won kitty on only the 2nd attempt!
