Skynner Almshouses

Supervision this morning. Very interesting and William had his little friend back to play with (he now has a new baby brother) so that made my life easier as they entertained each other. He fell asleep on the way to Nursery but I managed to transfer him without waking into the buggy. Picked up Carys but decided against risking the double transfer with William so we left the car and walked home.

When William had woken and eaten some lunch we headed back into town, Carys on her scooter and William in his chariot to do some jobs before heading back to pick up the car.

Took this shot in town of the alms houses in Bancroft Road, that were established in 1698 by a bequest of £500 left by Ralph Skynner. They are a long row of connected cottages located on the main road into town from the north. You wouldn't believe from this shot that they are on one of the busiest roads in the town.

Teatime was a trial but bathtime a delight and now they are in bed and I'm thinking about our meal.
