A Mirror Image

We have made several trips to see this nursery, a remote area of swamp accessible only by boat, swarming with sitting birds and hungry babies. You would not believe the noise that goes up from some of the nests when a parent arrives to feed the offspring. Well, maybe you would, if you have a houseful of unruly children. Steve got some wonderful shots last night, in beautiful light. I had to go back for another go today, and just do the best I could. Perched on a step-ladder on a boat is not the easiest way to focus, but they are sooo cute, they have to be blipped.
Because I am so used to seeing these birds, I forgot to mention they are Great White Egret chicks; this is an adult.
