Eventually it stopped raining and the sun came out.

I had some news today that has really upset me; I have been worried as I have not heard recently from my daughter, a lovely, fragile and troubled young woman. She had, it seems, broken up with her boy-friend and he had killed himself.

I went and took some photographs, but somehow I shall not be writing much today.
