What a lovely day--coolish, cloudy, and just a little breeze--the perfect day to finish my flower garden clean up. I worked on the 8 foot by 20 foot wild flower garden between the fence and the road. I swear it was buried under 2 inches of pine needles.

This ponderosa pine tree is one of the 4 contributors of all the needles. It makes the perfect backdrop for the yellow wild rose that resides in the corner of the yard.

Now I will be content to sit and knit for the rest of the day. I'm using up the sock yarn left over from previous projects--these socks should be a varied pair!
