Nights v3

Again an eventful week, but I may have brought the overcast of a white cloud to 1 Station nights. We are on to night four with a dearth of calls after dinnertime. This is not a crew that copes with a lot of downtime, so they may soon be glad to see the back of me and my white cloud ways. However, there is yet another 2.5 months before I must move on.

Encouragingly, I was able to deliver my first rookie drill in its entirety - SCBA. I hope I didn't bore my patient crew, but I'm nothing if not thorough. I did get a (not so willing) volunteer to be my downed firefighter on whom to demonstrate the "Thong" technique. Kudos to him. Brings back the days when I was a teacher of Air Cadets. This is the best calling in workdom.
