Boots

These boots are made for nightshift,
That's just a what they do.
One of these days these boots are gonna
Walk right up to you.

Well, probably not. Once we leave the hall, these sit quietly on the apparatus floor and wait for our return. It has been a monumental shift so far... not twenty minutes ago I put out my first fire! Well, it was only embers; embers that had been removed from a fire; a small one.

Okay, it was just a backyard fire pit with a bit too much wood in it. But, a fire nonetheless!
