Mother's Day
Our granddaughter, Ashly, gave me an absolutely beautiful bouquet for Mother's Day. The delicious fragrance of the stargazer lilies is filling our home.
Late this afternoon Deed & John (our daughter and her husband), came over with the the groceries and prepared and cooked dinner for all of us and our granddaughter Ashly joined in just as soon as she arrived home from work. We enjoyed barbeque steak, grilled salmon, spinach salad with diced tomatoes and ricotta cheese, a delicious loaf of bread and lots of veggies. Deed had brought chocolate chip cookies and coconut macaroons for dessert. I had diced a huge bowl of fresh strawberries and had whipped cream for topping. By the time we all pushed away from the dinner table we were all more than full.
Just before they were all about to leave I started preparing food for Chloe, Mitzi, and Max. Deed & John's dogs, Ladybug and Buddy, were most interested in what I was fixing, so I leaned into their huddle to let them each have a taste. Deed grabbed my camera to catch the moment.
So there you have it -- What a great day we've had. Spending time two days in a row with our daughter has been wonderful.
