Things to come

Temperature drops at night. It is dark and wintery (sort of). Only one room in the house has a carpet. What's more - double carpet! It will be the place to be soon. Even if we never put the 1930's gas fire on. Just looking at it makes me feel warmer. CO poisoning is not my thing though, we'll use an electric heater, woolly jumpers and cups of tea to survive. To keep things in perspective, Hanna still goes to school in a short sleeved t-shirt.
