Thorndon Park

Two families packed into a 7 seater, with nearly everything required for a picnic. Nearly - because we saw what the professional Australians wheel in to the park, and we still have some work to do to get there. Sun, sun, sun & sausages from all parts of the world were the leading themes today.
We had a great and relaxing Mother's Day. It's a beautiful park, apparently quite popular, but not overcrowded. Huge birds (it's a technical term) flying around. Public barbecues available, they even get cleaned out from taxpayers pockets, more the reason to use them more often. The weather was perfect. What a shame it's Sunday night already.
