normally it rains when this is in flower

normally I giggle a bit because the German name for it translates (if one is a naughty translator) to "golden showers"

normally I curse the fact that I can't get a good shot of this because of bad light.

today is not normal because the sun is shining, I'm not giggling (hell, did I grow up at last?!) and now I have nothing to blame on the fact that I can't do justice to the beauty of this enormous laburnum. Apart from me, of course.

I might have another stab at it tomorrow - anyone with any techie tips?

And, yes, I do know it's poisonous and so do my children, thank you for your concern.

I was browsing around my year ago blips - I'm so glad that busy bit of my life is over. My blood pressure rose just reading some of the entries - and I was remembering the things I wasn't committing to writing because they were too stressful to put into words. Life got better in the last year - and all thanks to reason, logic and rational choice :-)
