Reflecting back...
This morning as I was talking to the boys while they ate breakfast Jack brought up that there are ONLY 24 days left in the school year. Wow, where has this year gone? Part of me is so eager for the summer to arrive, and not just because we are desperately in need of sunshine but because I'm tired of the school routine. But then there is the part of me that is saddened by the end of the year approaching because I know it will mean my baby's are one year older. I know all you moms know how I'm feeling. This past year we've flown through various sizes of jeans and shoes. Watched baby faces slowly thinning out and seeing a definite trend of independance with them. It's such a difficult transisition for a mom to make.
So after taking all this in I walked into Carters room and looked at the art clip on his wall. It's a reflection of this past school year with artwork he's made from Halloween through the Christmas season and now into Spring. Seems like not that long ago he proudly brought some of these pieces home from school to us. This is yet another reminder of how fast time goes by and how you must cherrish your childrens youth, the good and the bad times.
I had planned on taking pictures of the gorgeous orange flowers I bought yesterday to plant in my yard but today it seemed more fitting to post something that was weighing a little more on my heart and my mind.
