Chasing Rainbows
Sometimes the walks you really don't want to take turn out to be the best ones.
A cold, blustery day in Fife, so I put off walking Nevis as long as I could. Finally decided I would have to face the grey and squally weather, so headed out up the hill, taking the camera more in hope than expectation.
As I got higher, a hole started to appear in the clouds, and fast-moving searchlights of sun started to sweep the landscape. Slowly the clouds opened up around me, so I was walking in a bowl of sunshine while the rest of the valley seemed to be filled with black clouds.
Then a brief squall of rain blew through, and I started chasing rainbows.
