Picturing the wind
Is damn hard to do when there is no suitably flowing vegetation. Because it all got blown away years ago.
This is the top of the Pentlands, a lovely range of hills very handily located for Edinburgh. In fact almost too handily, as the opposite view from this ridge is always of the city, so it doesn't really have much wilderness feel - until you look in this direction.
It was a wild and windy walk with 42 & co - but a well needed work out for all of us (including the dogs).
Nevis performed his usual trick of trying to get everyone he met en-route to throw a stick for him. And the great Scottish public obliged every time. He's very persuasive you know.
