The green heart of the granite city

Great to see lots of people enjoying Union Terrace Gardens now that the sunny weather is here.

Big business interests - backed by the city council and the local press - want to cover all this over with new construction. The grass roots community group Friends of Union Terrace Gardens is striving to keep this area as a public park for the enjoyment of citizens and visitors to Aberdeen for ever.

How could anyone want to destroy this beautiful park?
