Dive, Dive, Dive

I've always wondered what a yellow submarine looks like! Went with some friends to the coast for a morning out. 3 paddled about on sea canoes having decided that the conditions were not good enough for surfing. (This is Scotland - surfing?!? - only with the right wet / dry suit kit on!). I remained,and will contiue to remain,a landlubber taking photographs from the safety of the sandy shore.

In this photo the yellow canoe is about to become a yellow submarine and submerge below the waves. Going underwater backwards looks a bit daunting to me but the canoe and canoist resurfaced without harm. Smiles and laughter were the order of the day.

footnote: on reflection going under water backwards is not so unusual. Scuba divers do it as if they went forwards they'd nosedive into the deck of the boat. This just confirms my landlubber status.
