Smile!

Beat is the only one of my dogs that smiles...

Well, they all look like they smile sometimes, but Beat has actually taught himself to copy the human smile and show his teeth, when he meets someone he is truely happy to see.

He only does it when he is very happy to see someone and he never does it when meeting other dogs, so he does know that it is human language and not clever to use when communicating with someone of his own species.

Todays photo is Beat smiling at our secretary at work. He has spent many hours in her office and has shared many of her lunch sandwiches and she is often rewarded with a big smile.

I realise that he does look aggressive when he does it, so the photo in the corner is to prove that it really is true love :-)
