Would you believe it?

.......the misbehaviour of a bunch of delinquent footballers and 'fans' was deemed more newsworthy than the most destructive earthquake to hit Spain in a generation or the verdict in the John Demjanjuk case; a man who contributed to the deaths of 28,000 innocent people. Come on people, get your priorities sorted.

Elsewhere, work; which has been pretty challenging these last few months, was verging on pleasant. All it takes is a modest window devoid of the phone ringing, urgent e-mails demanding attention or someone arriving at my desk to ask questions, for me to feel that I can breathe, think, and do something constructive. London tomorrow.

Still, on the up side, Eurovision is on tonight.
