Bat hunting

Lunch out to celebrate a 30th birthday so no walk today.

Managed a swim at the gym after work. The roof has just been taken off the pool so I had a great view of gathering black clouds as I swam up and down.

I had a quick scout round the garden looking for a blip but didn't really find much - getting too dark. A second oriental poppy is about to burst out of its case. They really are amazing flowers.

Had another go at the emerging bats - this is my best attempt so far - at least the shadow looks vaguely bat-shaped. It is a bat - promise.

Glad that this week is over. Early start tomorrow for another second hand sale to raise money for son number two's school's parents' association. Really hope it doesn't rain on us!
