Light and Shadow
This photo is not mine - it is hanging among a wonderful group at the Artist Trust gallery in downtown Seattle. The photographer teaches these skills at the Univ. of Wa in the architectural program. This piece is part of his work documenting public structures like damns and bridges, old factories and coffin building manufacturing facilities. All the structures he depicts will either be demolished or there function will end.
I love his work, and know mine will never ever approach his level of skill. This one is very large, and captivating. I learned that he had taken 60 large standing flashlights in with him and placed them out of sight behind the arches - so as to be able to capture LIGHT AND SHADOW. I am very impressed.
I developed my negatives and did get some decent results.
