Cuttlefish Cloud With Magpie
Or call it X-Ray With Bird.
The moment I glanced out the window this morning, I saw the clouds and knew there might be a blip. Very strange weather, rainbows popping up here and there, fast and slow cloud masses. The one in the photo was changing by the second, so by the time I got out the front door I barely had time to get that peculiar texture (which a lucky magpie flew into) before it smoothed out and became something blander. I was in such a hurry, I shot at 500 ASA, so the speed was super fast, 8000/sec. Caught the bird well anyway.
Got down to some writing again, a good run at it this time, though I was easily distracted, as when I glanced out the back door and saw yet another INTERESTING CLOUD, this time contrasting nicely with the old walls of the house.
Apparently a BIG low is headed our way, bringing some spectacular gales and high tides. I'll be out there watching.
