Mandy's Snaps

Dog Challenge: Late entry

I know this should have been done yesterday; but I treated you all to a lovely chocolate brownie instead. Today you've got a Chocolate Labrador!

I haven't blipped Megan for a while; she's 10 months old now. Her summer coat is a gorgeous mix of chestnut brown and chocolate brown. You can see from the image how varied the shades are. She's still bonkers (especially when she meets up with other dogs); loves the sea and will always make you think she's hungry with those sad doggy eyes. The children know all to well that we mustn't give her too many treats, and that she's never to eat any of our scraps. The last thing I want is an overweight dog. If she has a 'favourite', then it's definitely Elliot. She will sit at the bottom of the stairs waiting for him to come down, in the hope that they'll get to play football together. She only has to hear the sound of velcro from his trainers, and her ears will prick up and find her little playmate.

When the children are at school, I'm quite often sitting at my computer with Megan under my desk. Not good for my posture, as I have to twist my body so that she can fit under there. And when she wants a cuddle, she will jump her front feet onto my lap and push the office chair across the wooden floor while I'm still sitting on it. Anyone looking through the windows would think we were mad. Quite possibly we are.

Hope you're having a good weekend.
