Allotment - Weekend #3
The weather is blowy and cold and rain is expected. More clearance work to do plus some planting if we want to be eating our own produce this year!
When we got there it appears a fox has been digging.
I carried on clearing the brambles, thistles and nettles. Ruth got on with repairing the fox-hole and planting beetroot, rocket and salad onions.
The soil is soft and yielding to the spade now after recent rain and we can truly see we are making our mark on our rented plot, a sense of achievement is all pervading and so is the pain in the legs and back.
We met our new neighbour, Colin, you can see him, in red, in the background?
