Posh Weeds
I just love cultivated weeds. These beauties were all blooming in the sunshine this morning and I snipped just a few for Suan's bedroom.
She is off to the Radio One Big Weekend - arrived last night 45 minutes late - accidentally took the wrong turn off the Forth Raod Bridge and only realised she was on the wrong road at Harthill. What a wally. Still, it was so fab to see her.
She plans to leave tomorrow morning but I hope that she might change her mind when she sees these flowers. They are in a lovely pottery pot made in Ghana. It is a flower vase given to her by her dad when he worked in Ghana. It is the most brilliant cobalt blue with white swirls.
The posh weeds are Periwinkle - Vinca Major, the ultimate invader, Lychnis, American trumpet honeysuckle (Lonicera sempervirens), Alchemilla Mollis which the donkey was chomping last Sunday(!) and a stolen sprig of Mock Orange - Philadelphus Pubescens.
I love them all!
