Vanishing Point
We said farewell to our weekend visitor today. Laura had hoped to photograph some lovely countryside and some typical farm life. Unfortunately, it pretty much chucked it down with rain all weekend and nothing of any note happened on the farm.
Of course no sooner had she left than the sun came out. Not only that, but this afternoon our first lamb was born! Undeterred by the lack of photo opportunities this weekend, Laura has now joined blipfoto and you can see her journal here.
This photo was taken late this afternoon and shows some of our fields and - oh yes - more sheep! In the distance you can see the beginning of the heather-clad fell that stretches for miles across the North Pennines. I'm looking forward to the Summer when I'll hopefully be able to capture the fell in all its purple glory, but for now it is just shades of brown.
