John Overend Memorial Rally

Took Jamie to a local rally today.
On arrival he met one of the marshalls , the guy has a four yr old son, so was soon impressed by our little man, he went to his car and came back with a high-viz marshalls tabard.
He was very tired and was not impressed by anything today....asleep in the car by 11.30 am on way home.

We came home intending on going to the Garden Fete at the Rectory.
We did go in and take a peek...too many people holding tea-cups with little fingers sticking out, the cakes looked good but the Fleece and the promise of a load of music to bung on my new lap-top won the day.

I have such fond memories as a child going to the Rectory fete, Mum made me a special dress one year that had a red backgroud with blue and white soldiers marching around it.

Strange how some things stick in your mind, I can see that dress now, and there's not a photo to be found.
