Where it all started . . .
This was originally taken about 4 years ago at sunset on the road between Hockliffe and Woburn. I had my first 'better than average' camera (not quite a DSLR) and was just starting to see things as potential photographs . . .
This photo is one of my first half-decent ones, and now sits on my wall on a large canvas to remind me of a day when I saw something and couldn't go home until I had an image of it that I could look at again and again. That feeling has now become almost second nature and often appears when I least expect it.
I'm also trying out a new purchase today - a super-zoom compact that I've bought to take on holiday with me - as much as I love my DSLR it's not going to be easy to use whilst on safari, on a horse!! Not the best test of it's skills tonight, but as I was 'zooming' around my living room tonight this image just asked to be shared with my fellow blippers - it has a very special place on my wall, and in my heart!!
