Can This Be May?

I'm afraid it is. This is what it looked like at 9 o'clock this morning. The visibility improved later, but it rained all day.

I was glad to be able work in my warm, bright workshop. It was time to start assembling the workbench.

I read the online reviews of the bench before I bought it. Several people commented on the roughness of the finish of the parts -- they were right. After sanding the trestle leg pieces, I glued them together and put them aside for the glue to set. When I took the bench top out of the shipping box and started sanding it I found a small gouge in one end. I wasn't happy, but decided it was too small to complain about, until I saw that the other end was also damaged. It had obviously been dropped and landed on the corner.

I've taken some photos and will contact the company tomorrow. I don't know what they'll offer to do. I can't very well return the parts I've glued together.

It's very frustrating!
