Fireworks in the hedgerow
The wildflowers that I pass on my daily country walk near my village are looking really attractive just now. None more so than this umbel which I think could be hogweed, a rather unfortunate name, but apparently the plant was used to provide food for pigs. It looks like a 'sparkler' going off... and is one of the stars of the frothy hedgerows, along with cow parsley.
