Another stunner!
We seem to be having a run on birds of prey at the moment, and there are no complaints here! This male kestrel was found by a friend of ours in her horse's water bucket - probably flew into the window and had a soggy landing.
Luckily Caroline managed to get him out and get him warmed up and he's still in one piece. He arrived looking cold and slightly stunned, but appears to be otherwise well. He's gone home with our pratice manager who has a falconer for a husband, and this guy will get the best possible care unitil he's ready to go, which hopefully won't be too long.
Very difficult to get a photo of him whilst keeping handling and stress to a minimum, and I'm afraid I'm not tech enough to shop out the bars of the cage he was in, so this photo is non-processed, non-altered. I think he's beautiful, and actually wouldn't change him for the world!
