King's College in Old Aberdeen is a formerly independent university founded in 1495 and an integral part of the University of Aberdeen. Its historic buildings are the centrepiece of the University of Aberdeen's Old Aberdeen campus.
The focal point of the college, as well as its oldest building, is the late 15th century King's College Chapel, one of two surviving Scottish medieval churches with open "crown" spires, and which has the largest surviving collection of medieval woodcarving in any Scottish building.

It's one of my favourite places to be. I'm not exactly a spiritual kind of guy, more of a sarcastic cynic, but this area truly has a special energy. Just being here instantly makes me feel more intellectual, relaxed and contemplative.
