Curtains are drawn by 6:30 in the morning because sunlight can no longer be used directly for photography or anything else. Weather has a bearing on life. With a bit of determination, one can choose not to succumb to it. It is amazing how, despite frequent rain, most people in and around Seattle are outdoor people.
