The Rally

The Rally was once part of the historic Leicester and Swannington Railway, the very first to be opened in the Midlands. The first run on the railway was on 17th July 1832, I can't find any significance of the 1982 other than it's the 150th anniversary. It's quite bizarre to see a section (about a 5m in length) of the West Bridge platform surrounded by park land.

I visited this evening on the hope of being a First To Find a new Geocache. Unfortunately I was beaten by 40 minutes but I've had another local history lesson.
