Clear for landing Runway 27 Left

This is a drake Mallard about to touch down for a little light lunch in the nature reserve. Apparently, earlier there had been a Marsh Harrier, a Blackwit and a Temminck's Stint - the last of which I had never heard of before, but have since discovered, is a rare visitor from the Arctic.

This was a bit of a chancer shot really, as three of them flew towards me and then veered to my left. The first frame caught the three of them but were very widely spaced and the second exposure caught this one quite nicely. Shame it wasn't the Temminck's Stint - not that I would have know what it looked like.
